Pulsed,
Pulsed,
Pulsed,
the blood
As I burned and walked
Alone
On the far side of the void.
And the city rose like Babel
As Leviathan tore his chains
And from forgotten lore revived
Antediluvian pains.
And my eyes were locked with God's
Whose eyes are stars and night
And I saw the swirling mists of time
About me in their flight
And heard the cries of every soul
From ecstasy to blight.
And then I saw the void beyond
And saw that I alone
Must stride across that desolation
To its hidden throne
Upon whose arms are locked
The keys
I take my name
from stone.
